20 gallons minimum for a school of 6-8. Dim lighting enhances the glow.
Soft water (pH 5.5-7.0). Blackwater conditions preferred.
Diet
Small mouths. Crushed flake, tiny pellets, baby brine shrimp.
Live food triggers natural color intensity.
Tank Mates
Peaceful and gentle. Pairs well with ember tetras, neons, corydoras, small rasboras.
Avoid all fin nippers — glowlights are easily bullied.
