Tank Requirements
40+ gallons. Group of 8-15+ for proper schooling.
Open swimming space — they school in horizontal lines.
Health Indicators
Red nose is health indicator. Pale or grey nose = stressed or sick fish.
Healthy rummynose noses are bright crimson.
Pairing with Other Fish
Excellent with: discus, angelfish, dwarf cichlids.
Avoid: aggressive fish, fin-nippers.
Pair with: cardinal tetras for stunning schooling display.
