Tank Mates Reality
Most crayfish kill fish at night while sleeping. Single crayfish + fish community is risky.
Best practice: species-only tank or with VERY fast schooling fish (white cloud minnows).
Tank Setup
20+ gallons for one crayfish. Plenty of caves and PVC pipes.
Cool water (70-75°F) — most species prefer cool over warm.
Diet
Sinking pellets, blanched vegetables, occasional protein (frozen bloodworm).
